Josh,I've only finished the first half of "Aschnard One-Hand" but I felt compelled to tell you how wonderfully immersive your writing is. I started the story and in no time was enjoying the movie that spun off in my mind as I read about Aschnard's lost hand and how he both dealt, and didn't deal, with it. Now that he's at the Inn, the story is taking a very interesting turn. Thank you.
It's funny... Usually I recommend reading stories out loud during the editing process, but this one was so long that I didn't do that. I'm glad it seemed to work well when read out loud!
Thanks for reading, Luke! I appreciate your comment (and your restack). In your opinion, what is the biggest strength of the piece? Is there a weakness in the prose or storytelling that I could address for the next story?
Josh, I just finished Aschnard's story and the second half was every bit as rewarding as the first half. The Mimic was monstrous!! I loved how he found the head in the chest before the monster actually appeared and got hold of him...with it's tongue. Are you going to write more adventures of Aschnard of One Hand? He's a character that I'm sure you could, if you choose, develop further. He's a keeper. A delicious story.
Oh wow! Thank you so much for reading, and I'm glad the second half didn't disappoint. Asch was meant to be a bit of a goofy one-off character, but the more love this story gets, the more I'm considering a continuation. I could see his treasure-hunting adventures becoming a serial. I'll have to think on it.
Thanks again for reading and for your kind words. It's comments like this that keep me going.

Thanks so much for your kind words! I'm glad you're enjoying the story. Have you gotten around to the ending yet?
I love this story! It is one I had to read out loud, hearing the words, “seeing” it play out like a screenplay. This is the best! Very satisfying!

Enjoyed this one, Josh. Thanks for sharing.

Josh, I'm so glad to have commented. I enjoyed it thoroughly. It was very well written.
I liked the battle scene and the last sentence was a nice twist. I cannot think of any least favorite part.
Thanks for reading! I had a lot of fun writing this one, and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
What's your favorite part of this story? How about your least favorite part? Let me know; don't hold back.
